We are now based in 1a Derby road Business park Opposite Cmc Motorcycle Center S45 9AG. limited parking outside but one/two can reverse into the yard if need for disablities.
Our History
The Market stall we operate has been around since (1979) but was known as Smarts fruit and veg before Simon Jackson took over in 2000, now we go by Jacksons fruit and veg.
Due to redevelopment of the bus station where the stall is, the company has had to seize trading from Matlock town center and we have moved to Clay Cross.
The market started off selling just fruit and veg but slowly over the years expanded to dairy products such as milk, yoghurts and cheese Also into fresh cut flowers and plants.
We have also got a presence in the catering world supplying local café/restaurants with local/exotic produce as well as prepared veg such as quarter-cut potatoes or steak-cut chips.
Keeping it in the Family
As the kids have got older, they have also taken an interest into this field of work, now my son Tim has been helping manage our workload as well as helping to expand into different mediums such as Facebook and this website.
My daughter also started working, where she has taken on the role as our florist, maintaining plants/flower as well as creating wonderful arrangements for all different occasions.
